How we calculate
- We calculate the weight of each band from its width, thickness (which grows with width), and ring size, times the density of the metal. A wider, larger men’s band usually weighs more than twice as much as a women’s band.
- Price = weight × price per gram of finished jewelry + a making charge per band. The price per gram follows the world gold price (October 2026). A comfort-fit (domed) profile uses about 20% more metal, two-tone gold costs about 35% more for the gold.
- Titanium and tungsten are priced per band by width, since you pay for the machining, not the metal.
- 14K gold is the most common choice in the US: it wears better and costs less than 18K. Platinum is the heaviest and the most expensive.

Do our wedding bands have to be the same width?
No. Most often the women’s band is narrower (2-4 mm) and the men’s band wider (6 mm), in the same style. That is why we price them separately.
Should my wedding band match my engagement ring?
Choose the same metal so both rings wear evenly. A slim 2-3 mm band usually sits best next to an engagement ring.
