- The bride’s share (about $1,190) is split among 8 people - about $150 more each.
- Collect a deposit up front (e.g. 50%) before you book the house and activities - group bookings often need prepayment. A payment app makes splitting easy.
- Flying? Everyone needs a REAL ID-compliant license or a passport for domestic flights, and a passport for Mexico or the Caribbean. Book early - group fares rise fast.
- Best timing: 1-2 months before the wedding. The week before is too close - nobody wants to arrive at the wedding exhausted.
How we calculate
- Per-person costs (activities, dinner, drinks, lodging, travel) are counted for everyone, including the bride or groom, since they take part too.
- The total is split only among the people who pay - by US etiquette, the guest of honor doesn’t pay.
- On a trip, dinner, drinks, and daytime meals are counted for every day (as many days as nights). A show or surprise is a group cost, not per person.

Questions and answers
Who pays for the bachelorette party?
Usually the attendees split the cost and the bride doesn’t pay - her share is divided evenly among everyone else. The same goes for the groom at a bachelor party.
How much does a bachelorette weekend cost?
A fly-in weekend in Nashville, Las Vegas, or Austin typically runs $1,000-1,500 per attendee with flights and lodging. A road-trip weekend or a night out in town costs much less.
